How to understand if there is adulteration in chili powder
- Gently pour one teaspoon of chili powder into a glass of clean water.
- A thin layer may form on the edge glass. Lift that layer with a spoon and place it on the palm of your hand.
- Keep rubbing it slowly. If you find something hard and granular, you will understand that it is mixed with brick or sand powder.
- If there is a little foam, it should be understood that there is something like soap or powder mixed in it.
- If the water turns red before stirring after pouring in the water again, then it should be understood that artificial color has been mixed in the chili powder.
- If something lighter than water is mixed, such as wood powder or something like that, it will also float on top.
