১) সিরাপ, টনিক বা ওই জাতীয় বোতলজাত ওষুধের ক্ষেত্রে ওষুধের বোতলে সিল বা প্যাকেজিং-এ কোথাও কোনও গলদ (মোড়কের রং, আকার-আকৃতি, বানান ইত্যাদি সবই দেখে নিতে হবে) আছে কি না, প্রথমেই তা ভাল করে দেখে নিতে হবে। কোনও রকম পার্থক্য বা সন্দেহজনক কিছু চোখে পড়লেই ওই ওষুধ ফিরিয়ে দিন বিক্রেতাকে।

২) বড়ি, ট্যাবলেট বা ক্যাপসুল জাতীয় ওষুধের ক্ষেত্রে ওষুধের কোথাও কোনও অংশ ভাঙা রয়েছে কিনা, স্বচ্ছ ক্যাপসুলের ভিতরে থাকা ওষুধের গুঁড়োর পরিমাণ আগের তুলনায় কম বা বেশি আছে কিনা, ওষুধের রঙে কোনও ফারাক রয়েছে কিনা তা ভাল করে দেখে নিতে হবে। এ ক্ষেত্রেও ওষুধের মোড়কের রং, আকার-আকৃতি, বানান ইত্যাদি সবই ভাল করে দেখে নিতে হবে।

৩) যে কোনও ওষুধের মোড়কের গায়ে তার ‘ইউনিক অথেনটিকেশন কোড’ লেখা থাকে। ওষুধ কেনার পর সেটির সম্পর্কে মনে কোনও রকম সন্দেহ দানা বাঁধলে, ওষুধের ‘ইউনিক অথেনটিকেশন কোড’ ৯৯০১০৯৯০১০ নম্বরে এসএমএস করুন। ওই ওষুধটি যেখানে তৈরি, সেখান থেকে তাপনি একটি অথেনটিকেশন মেসেজ পেয়ে যাবেন।

এ ছাড়াও, ওষুধ খাওয়ার পর যদি শরীরে অস্বস্তি শুরু হয়, অ্যালার্জি হলে একটুও দেরি না করে চিকিৎসকের সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ করুন। প্রয়োজনে সেই ওষুধটি চিকিত্সককে দেখান।
