The country has recently witnessed the outbreak of a new deadly disease called Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome (MISC). The main cause of infection is coronavirus. Children and adolescents are more affected by this disease.
High fever is the main symptom of this disease. However, in most cases, no germs are found in the test.
When infected with this disease, the blood flow of a child with MISC decreases. This can damage the heart, kidneys, lungs and liver and push him to his death. Experts have given all such information.
It is known that on April 26, the first MISC disease was caught in the UK. Infections have been reported in the United States, France, Switzerland, South Korea and India.
On May 15, a three-and-a-half-month-old newborn was diagnosed with the disease at the Evercare Hospital in Dhaka. Basically, there is a risk of infection if a child comes in contact with a person infected with the coronavirus. So far, 15 children have been cured at Evercare Hospital in Bangladesh.
Evercare Hospital Consultant (Clinical and Interventional Pediatric Cardiology) Dr. Tahera Nazreen told Jugantar that the main symptoms of children with MISC are high fever, diarrhea, abdominal pain, vomiting, shortness of breath and chest pain, loss of appetite, redness of eyes, lips and tongue. These symptoms may occur simultaneously or one by one after a fever.
“It can cause heart attacks in children,” he said. It can even cause low blood pressure. If not brought to the hospital at the right time, the patient can get a serious infection. You may even need to be taken to an intensive care unit or ICU.
