My journey to Old Dhaka began with a train ride from the capital. The train was crowded and the journey was long, but the scenery outside the window was beautiful. I could see the majestic Jamuna River, with its winding course and many tributaries, and the lush, green countryside that surrounded it.

Once we arrived in Old Dhaka, the city felt like a different world. The streets were teeming with people, and the buildings were a mix of old and new. Everywhere I looked there were people going about their daily lives, and the smells of street food were tantalizing.

We spent our first day exploring the city. We visited the old fort, which is now a museum, and the colorful markets and bazaars that are scattered throughout the city. We also took a boat ride on the Buriganga River, where we saw the many shipyards that line the banks.

On our second day, we ventured outside of the city to visit some of the small villages that surround Old Dhaka. We took a rickshaw ride through the countryside and stopped to visit a small temple and a few of the local villages. Everywhere we went we were greeted with smiles and friendly faces, and we even had the chance to sample some of the delicious local cuisines.

Our time in Old Dhaka was an unforgettable experience that I will never forget. From the bustling streets of the city to the peaceful countryside, there is so much to explore and experience in this unique city. I would highly recommend anyone looking for an authentic travel experience to visit Old Dhaka.
