What to do to relieve the child’s constipation

child's constipationLike adults, children can also have problems with constipation. This problem is more common in children between the ages of two and three. This problem also occurs during the practice of using the toilet.

Children must consult a doctor if they have the disease.

What causes the disease in children?

It is very important for parents to know about this. Children who have difficulty learning to use the toilet are at higher risk of contracting the disease. Children should be careful not to rush when using the toilet.

This disease can be caused due to the suppression of bowel movements and lack of drinking water. Therefore, the child’s bowel habits need parental supervision. There are some things parents need to keep in mind.

What to do

1. The amount of stool, color, type, whether the child feels any discomfort during defecation, how the child sits, whether he keeps the speed down – all these things should be taken into consideration. So children should be taught to use toilets.

2. If the child has constipation, he should be put in a ‘pot’ or toilet for five to 10 minutes within half an hour of feeding heavy food two to three times at any time of the day. If ‘anal fissure’ occurs, it should be treated immediately. As if defecation is pain-free.

3. If the children’s toilet is ‘low-commode’, they should be made to sit on their knees. If it is ‘high-commode’, it would be better to put a pedestal under the feet.

4. Physical exercise should be learned from childhood. This will strengthen digestion and health will be good.

How to feed the baby

The baby should be fed fruits, vegetables, and edible fiber foods. In addition, you can eat cereals, pulses, barley and salad. And you have to drink water according to the needs of the body. In addition, it is not right to give extra milk. And ‘junk food’ should be avoided.
