Taylor Swift‘s 5 biggest mistakes

1. Not standing up for herself publicly earlier in her career when she was being taken advantage of by her label: Taylor has since become an advocate for artist rights, but her silence for so long allowed her label to take control of her career.

2. Allowing her personal life to be the focus of her music: Taylor‘s most successful albums were when she focused on the music, not her personal relationships.

3. Not taking a break after her last album: Taylor released her last album, Reputation, in 2017 and then immediately went back to work on her new album. Taking a break would have allowed her to re–energize and come back with a new perspective.

 

4. Not being more diverse with her music: Taylor is an incredibly talented songwriter and musician but has been criticized for not experimenting with different styles and genres.

5. Not speaking out against the streaming industry: Taylor has been vocal against streaming services, but she has not been as active in fighting for artist rights and fair pay.
