The main sightseer municipalities of the governorate are Khasab, Bukha, and Dibba, each offering a myriad of lodestones. Khasab, the capital of Musandam, is well-connected by land, ocean, and air routes, and serves as a perfect base for excursionists who like boat sails.

Fjord Khor-as- Sham or Kumzar city can be cruised from then. Khasab is also the place to start your mountain safari up to the potent Jabel Hareem. The Khasab Castle and Bukha Fort are other popular sightseer spots then.

The Khasab Castle is notorious for its gallery that displays crafts and other archeological collections. The Bukha Fort, also known as Bukha Castle, lies in the quiet fishing vill of the same name. It has a, more or less, square ground plan with one round corner palace, two blockish corner halls, and one central blockish palace. It was restored in 1990.

The eastern harborage city of Dibba is famed for its clean strands and unique White Sea grottoes. Adventure campaigners and exhilaration- campaigners enjoy hiking and touring in the Ru’us-al-Jabal mountain of Musandam with boarding at Jebel Hareem, its loftiest peak. The four-wheel-drive across the mountains and through the wadis is a stirring experience for one and all. Also, a drive to the cove, Khor an Najd, is a must to feast upon one of the most stunning and classic outlooks of Musandam which is frequently used for its sightseer juggernauts. The sightseeing places of ancient agreements,pre-historic sepultures, Jabel Hareem’s fuds, and petroglyphs are crowd scullers along with the unique traditional storehouse erecting‘ Bait al Qufl’, current in nearly all the mountain townlets.

The most notorious in Musandam is the dhow Sails’ along the Strait of Hormuz and along its largest cove, Khor ash-Sham. These traditional boat lifts are a treat for all unfolding stirring foamy banks with rocky islets, enough small fishing townlets, and distinctive gemstone conformations coupled with rich and varied marine life, including the Humpback Dolphins, groupers, varied coral growth. The highlights of these boat passages are birdwatching, dolphin watching, along with stops at rocky islets like Mother Bird Island, Telegraph Island, and Seebi Islets.

Another crowd-sculler is the lift to the insulated yet popular city of Kumzar, the northernmost vill of Oman, housing the eccentric Al-Kumzari lineage whose unique shoptalk is a blend of 25 different languages. Although access to Kumzar is confined, the fascinating vill layout and the magnific marine decor along the Strait of Hormuz is truly witching.
