How to Make Panipuri at Home

Ingredients for Panipuri recipe at Home

  • White peas (Dabli) – 500g
  • Potatoes – 4 (boiled)
  • Egg – 1 (boiled)
  • 1 green chili or Bombay chili (chopped)
  • Chopped coriander leaves – 2 tablespoons
  • Chopped onion – 2
  • Chotpoti masala – 2 tablespoons
  • Black salt – ½ teaspoon
  • Red chili flakes – 1 teaspoon
  • Roasted cumin powder – 1 tablespoon
  • Tamarind pulp – ½ cup
  • Readymade puris (panipuri shells) – as needed

Instructions:

  1. Boil the white peas, potatoes, and egg. While boiling the peas, add a little salt and turmeric.
  2. In a mixing bowl, take the boiled white peas. Peel and mash the potatoes.
  3. Mix the peas, egg, and potatoes well. Add chopped green chili, coriander, chotpoti masala, chopped onions, black salt, red chili flakes, and roasted cumin powder. Mash and mix thoroughly.
  4. Take each puri and stuff it with the prepared filling.
  5. Place the stuffed puris on a serving plate. Generously drizzle tamarind water over them.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade Panipuri!
