What next in NEXT? Why the show got cancelled?

What is going to happen next in the tv series NEXT? Why there will be no season 2? The answer is we already can predict What next in NEXT.

We have watched Westworld, Second Chance, Ex-Machina and hundreds of other AI apocalyptic movies. Not to mention The Terminator as well.

FOX already cancelled Next. So, there will be no season 2. The most common reason for the cancellation of such AI series is lackings of a plot twist. Second Chance did not get a second chance for that reason. The Extant (starring Halle Berry) also got cancelled after two seasons in spite of having a great audience.

For the tv series next, we can predict the same as we know already what is going to happen. Here is a list of our predictions for Next.

 

1. The Artificial Intelligence Next will continue creating havoc and manipulation until it finds a way to protect itself from the analogue community.
2. There may be a hack of nuclear codes by Next. The ultimate challenge for the protagonists.
3. The AI Next will manipulate a small community of criminals and will blackmail multiple victims, who will eventually start working for Next.
4. Next may hack LeBlanc’s mind also.
5. Next may build its own machinery and will create some body-forms based on bio-weaponry. But this is unlikely because it may ruin the tv series’s main essence and it may turn the series into a thrill-less action movie.
6. There may be a connection between the Hardisk drive and LeBlanc’s mind (the HDD which contains the information of dismantling Next)
7. The ultimate problem will be Nacio Fores (David Zayas). But we are currently not able to find a connection between Nacio and main plot.

The ultimate reason for the cancellation of the second season of Next is, we already started picturing the doomsday and a final fight between analogue humanity and digital demons. A fresh new season requires a fresh new perspective for tv series. But, Next doesn’t comply with that. We can call it a big elaborated movie on tv screen.

The performances of David, Fernanda and Slattery will put some ranks in this show though.
