Not eating food on time is not good for health at all. Obesity or leanness, blood pressure, sudden rise in blood sugar are all due to food.

A new study published in the International Journal of Cancer claims that not eating dinner on time increases the risk of breast cancer and prostate cancer.

The study also tested 621 prostate and 1205 breast cancer patients. Of which 72 were males and 1321 were females.

A team of Spanish researchers conducted the study. The study collected data on the sleep schedules and dinner times of those who took part.

The study further looked at whether anyone in the family had cancer, the socio-economic status of the participants and whether their environment had any impact on the risk of cancer.

Research has shown that eating late dinner increases the risk of prostate and breast cancer overall.

Studies on prostate cancer have shown that those who ate dinner before 9 pm or slept 2 hours after meals had a 26 percent lower risk of developing prostate cancer.

Similarly, early-stage women who have dinner before 10 pm have a 17 percent lower risk of breast cancer.

Researchers say that eating late and falling asleep after a meal disrupts the body’s circadian rhythm. As a result, various biological processes such as sleep, hormonal efficacy, energy levels, and body temperature are out of balance.

As a result, the immune system is weakened and the tendency to grow tumors increases.
